Someone: An unspecified amount of time before this match began, humanity fled the desolated surface world to the underground in order to survive. Now, the world lies in a state of turmoil; polluted and stagnant, only the upper classes, like Ngamer and Clark, are able to escape to higher levels with better air. This match follows DK, a low level citizen, who rebels against the prime minister, Jimbo, in order to save the life of Goose, who is unable to survive underground, due to an experimental surgery performed on him in order to convert her into an air purification machine. The only way to guarantee the world's safety is by voting DK.

Someone: As weird as it sounds, I've voted for Jimbo purely because of his Twitch stream. The good thing about a platform like Twitch is that no emotions are hidden and there is no way of creating a different persona. What you see is what you get. To this end, Jim's passion for Goldeneye is a sight to behold. Watch Jimbo for an hour, and you'll see a mixture of rage, humour, confusion and satisfaction. It's like a microcosm of The Elite as a whole. The success of this community is down to players striving for one extra second, and Jimbo embodies that dedication. Picking between these two guys was incredibly hard, but I can't help thinking that a Jimbo contest victory is long overdue. If he wins, I know it will mean an incredible amount to him, and if he loses I know it won't diminish his drive one bit. It's personalities like this that are behind The Elite's success.
